Stare at Him. M said that as long as you're looking at Him, He can't get you, right? Or was M wrong about that, too?

Ragnarok
Come Day of Wrath, O Pulse l'Cie
Embrace thy fate, thine home to burn
That fallen souls may bear our plea
To hasten the Divine's return
O Piteous Wanderer, Ragnarok
Make of this day a grave epoch

Stare at Him. M said that as long as you're looking at Him, He can't move, right? Or was M wrong about that, too?

You are thinking SCP-173, sir. Or Weeping Angels. Or the King in the Mountain, but Slendy can move as much as he wants. So M was wrong. You don't even know who M is. Or SCP-173. Or Weeping Angels but they sound cool and if there was another afterlife to make an epic poem off of you would put all these creatures there.

The Slender Man reaches out and touches you.

A series of images.

An eyeless head screaming.

A large creature taking flight, dragging dukes, merchants, and peasants alike to their deaths.

All the victims' corpses come back, reanimated but without souls.

Once again you see the eyeless head, but this time you see more of it and you notice it is attached to a winged torso. Behind it you see other things. Other than the organ creatures. Horrible things. Terrifying and it makes you shudder every time you remember them. Behind each of them are a slew of other creatures as well. Opposite them are the Slender Man and three or four other creatures you can't quite recognize, each with veritable armies behind them. They meet in a clearing.

You understand now.

You understand everything now.

Beings. Dozens, maybe hundreds, and locked in two or more factions warring against each other. And the Slender Man and this eyeless torso have been fighting. It's the eyeless torso's fault that you were forced through France on a vision quest. It's the eyeless torso's fault you were attacked by the two creatures in the woods. It's the eyeless torso's fault that Velvetino is gone. The eyeless torso has a name, and it's name is the Flesh of Man, and the Flesh of Man is attempting to take all the Slender Man's power for his own.

And then it shows you Velvetino. The eyeless torso has it, and it has your poor furry friend in a bunny-sized labyrinth. With spikes. And miniature Inquisition-esque torture devices.

When you open your eyes the Slender Man is gone.

What do you do?

Willow Mythos Blogs: The Branches Take

"When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band.
He said, 'Son when you grow up would you be the savior of the broken the beaten and the damned?'
He said, 'Will you defeat them: your demons, and all the nonbelievers the plans that they have made?
Because one day, I'll leave you, a phantom, to lead you in the summer, to join the Black Parade."
